These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Daily Deen ("we," "our," or "us") governing your use of the Daily Deen mobile application, website at dailydeen.me, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
Daily Deen is an Islamic habit-tracking application designed to help Muslims build and maintain daily worship routines. The Service includes:

To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to:
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised account access where you failed to keep your credentials secure.
You may use Daily Deen without an account in offline mode — only locally stored data is created in this case.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with Islamic values and these Terms. You must not:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.
The Daily Deen AI Journal feature uses artificial intelligence to provide personalised Islamic reflection prompts and responses. This feature is powered by Anthropic Claude, a third-party AI model.
Important: When you use the AI Journal, your journal prompts and inputs are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Please do not include sensitive personal information (e.g., financial details, medical information, full legal name) in your journal entries.
Daily Deen is free to download and offers a core set of features at no cost. Premium features may be available through a paid subscription or one-time purchase processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Daily Deen and all its contents — including the app design, graphics, text, logos, features, and code — are the exclusive property of Daily Deen and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
Quranic text and Hadith content are used for educational and spiritual purposes. We do not claim ownership over sacred Islamic texts.
You retain ownership of any content you create within the app, including habit logs, journal entries, and custom habits ("Your Content").
By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim any ownership over Your Content and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating and improving the app.
You are responsible for ensuring Your Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
Daily Deen integrates with the following third-party services to deliver core functionality. By using the app, you acknowledge that these services may process your data according to their own privacy policies:
Your account data, habit records, and sync data are stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. Supabase provides authentication, real-time database, and storage services. Learn more at supabase.com/privacy.
The AI Journal feature is powered by Anthropic Claude. Journal inputs you submit are processed by Anthropic's API. See Section 5 above and anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
We use Google services including:
Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
On iOS, Apple provides push notification delivery, in-app purchases, and optional Sign in with Apple authentication. Apple's data practices are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their policies.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Daily Deen and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payments.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the app's Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Sections 7, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction.
If you are located in the EU/EEA, you may also have rights under applicable EU consumer protection laws that these Terms do not override.
We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
